If You Are Planning To Leave AT&T – READ THIS

If you are planning to leave AT&T,read this. This is a true story.

I made the switch to T-Mobile. They were really pleasant and helpful and I’m amazed at all the features I was missing by having AT&T.

I’m pretty ticked off at AT&T now as they just charged me for a month in advance for Oct 20-Nov 20. I signed up with T-Mobile On Friday night Oct 23. They ported over my # to my new phone.

Service was less expensive but had all sorts of additional features. I called AT&T today to let them know just to but the November they charged me back on my CC. I was informed that they don’t do that, they just KEEP YOUR MONEY.

So I said to the customer service rep, You mean you just charged my credit card for next month, I have NO Service with you but you get to keep my money for NOTHING. She said yes that’s right you should have canceled your account before we took the money.

To me that did NOT seem right. It’s not so much the hundred plus $$$ they took, but it’s the principle. What about poor people that could not afford that? I believe in treating people right and helping the little guy.

I checked with my attorney to see if that is legal. They didn’t think so either so will be following up on that.

I also think the Federal trade commission needs to hear about companies that keep your money for service they are not going to give. I am no longer connected to AT&T and they plan on keeping my money……. WRONG. I guess they don’t make enough billions of $$$.

I’m writing this blog to let everyone know……if you play on leaving AT&T, find out what day they bill you and leave on the day before or you will pay a month for nothing but AIR. That is just totally unethical.

T-Mobile told me if I didn’t the service I could come back and they would cancel it, and refund me all my money. That is a company that cares.

Magic Answers

So many people today are looking for magic answers. It’s sad but true; there aren’t any easy answers.

If I asked people what they wanted, most would say they want to be able to do what they want to do when they want to do it. They want money but they don’t want to spend time working. they want the freedom to enjoy life.

Unfortunately there are just no magic answers. To get what you want, takes work. I believe “jobs” are becoming a thing of the past. You will never be rich or free working for someone else. You can’t get there trading hours for dollars. There are only so many hours in the day.

I believe you have to think about and look for alternatives. Everyone must have an income so you have to start with a job….but that does NOT mean you have to stay there for life. Start with a job to pay your bills and get buy. On the side start a part time business and dedicate 10 or so hours a week to growing it little by little. It will take work and effort but it is worth it if you can learn to build something of your own and outgrow that job.

Take all the money you earn from the business and put half back into the business and save the other half, to build a nest egg. Once the business is making more than your job, it’s time to think about changing things up. Put more time into your business and cut back the hours on the job to part time. Do that at LEAST 6-12 months while growing your business further and saving lots more money so you have a nice nest egg built.

If you work this play for 3-5 years, you can eventually work your way out of the job and into independence. It won’t happen over night. It won’t happen unless you are dedicated to sticking with building a business and stay with it long enough to see it through.

I’ve been both places and I have found it can work if you are willing to start a plan and see it through. Today I no longer have a boss and I am able to do things I never thought I could I know if I did it, so can you. Keep the faith, and turn the future into a bright one. It’s not easy but it is worth it.

What is Difficult?

I do NOT know the author of the following article. I did not write this one but I found it most true and intriguing. I’m sure you’ll enjoy it and it is very thought provoking.

Author Unknown

Difficult! Difficult! Is a home-based business difficult? It is difficult when you must produce a report on a Saturday afternoon and cannot attend your son’s football game.

It is difficult hearing the mobile phone ring on Christmas morning and you cannot see the excitement on your daughter’s face as she feverishly tears into another box.

It is difficult knowing the rust bucket you call a car is eating you alive in maintenance but you cannot afford a new one. Even gas is becoming too expensive.

It is difficult to go to your annual performance review, and even though you have worked hard for another year, you come away empty handed.

It is difficult knowing that you shop by sticker rather than whether the garment looks good on you.

It is difficult knowing that the house you are in is because prices just went up and your budget is to the bare bones.

It is difficult knowing that you married a wonderful person and promised them the world and for the next 30 years you look at balancing the budget and figuring out what sacrifices must be made.

It is difficult reciting, “If we get this, we cannot have that.”

It is difficult always lowering your dreams to meet your means.

It is difficult knowing that you have spent 40 years of your life working for someone else only to realize that you will be retiring on 1/3 of what you cannot live on today.

It is difficult when your children move out and you cannot visit them because traveling costs too much.

It is difficult knowing that the fish are biting this week and you cannot drop what you are doing and take your Dad fishing.

It is difficult watching the spark in your partner’s eyes fade because both of you realize the house you have been wanting is just a dream because someone else is controlling your finances.

It is difficult waking up one morning and realizing that your children, the most precious thing imaginable, no longer need bottles, diapers, have tea parties, eat things found under the sofa, are shorter than the baseball bat they are trying to swing, but are grown and starting their own families and you missed all of that because you agreed to be locked in an office for twenty years by a boss who watched his children grow up.

It is difficult dropping your one-year old at the nursery because you have to be at work by 9am to stand by the Xerox machine or handle irate phone calls and realize someone else is going to watch your daughter take her first step or have your son say “dada” to the playground teacher.

It is difficult knowing that you have diligently worked only to be given an early retirement.

I will tell you what is difficult. It is real difficult realizing it is too late and that time frittered away can never be retrieved. It slips through our fingers one second at a time.

What are we doing with it? We have nasty habits about rationalizing, procrastinating and skirting important things rather than facing the issues. Too often we allow others who do not pay our bills, who do not share our dreams, to direct our future.

We have absolutely no freedom as a child

We rebel in our teen years and scream for freedom.

We die for the right to be free.

We fight vicious wars to have the seemingly innocent ability to choose.

We reach adulthood and we relinquish freedom because we think it is too difficult.

We do not want to take responsibility.

We do not want to make a wrong decision so we obligingly give that awesome power to someone else.

We feel it will take too much time. Then, we have the audacity to complain when the decisions made were
not what we wanted.

We wake up too late. Phrases like “I wished I had only”, “If I could only have that time back,” etc.

I believe the majority of people want to sing, but die with the music still inside. Face the music and shoulder some responsibility. You cannot have that time back.

You have chosen your direction. If you have not spent your time wisely, too bad.

You have no one but yourself to blame. You had the chance. Perhaps the opportunity was presented
many times and each time you elevated the trivial to a higher priority than yourself. Is a home-based business really difficult? Is it so traumatic to show someone an exciting product or idea? Is it so difficult to understand that if you work this marketing idea for a couple of years you might not have to confront some nasty options?

Would you work real hard for a year or two so you could put your family in the home of their dreams? Would you work real hard for a year or two so you could send your children to college chosen by excellence rather than one chosen by price? The same criteria you used for clothes shopping.

Would you turn off the idiot box, the soaps, the talk shows, sporting events or X Files for a year so you could take dream vacations several times a year?

Would you apply yourself for a year or two so you would have the freedom of being able to roll over, yank the covers over your head and wake at the crack of noon because you wanted to?

Would you work really hard for a couple of years to mold a lifestyle of your choosing so your family could live a lifestyle of their dreams, rather than trying to live how someone else thinks you should live?

We really think we are important in our jobs. The company we work for cannot survive without us. We are the cog that keeps things moving. Everything would grind to a halt without our presence. Think again. Corporations are not structured like that.

A corporation does not rely on people to remain viable. A corporation needs many properly arranged little squares, functioning in a preset order to survive. After many years as a manager in the corporate environment, here is an excellent visualization of your importance. Find a bucket and fill it about 3/4 full of warm water. Make a fist and push your left arm in the bucket up to your elbow. Now, quickly
remove your arm. The resulting hole is your impact. Sobering, isn’t it?

Can you identify the words “next time”? How many “next times” will you have? What will it take to get you
off dead center?

Will it be knowing that people are physically deteriorating when you have a product that will help them but are afraid of someone thinking you are taking advantage of that person and are just out for the money? Gosh, I hope not.

Will it be knowing that people are agonizing through bankruptcy, realizing they only needed a couple more
hundred dollars per month, not $50,000 per month, but you procrastinated once again?

I hope not.

Realize the awesome power you have in your hands with this opportunity. The business you have chosen has the ability to change lives.

IT cannot do anything. But YOU can change lives with IT.

YOU are the one with the life changing ability. What are you waiting for?

What will it take?

You will pay a price for your actions.

Which one do you choose to pay?

THINK ABOUT IT! THE CHOICE IS YOURS TO MAKE.

How I Found Network Marketing

Many people ask me how I found Network Marketing….. I GUESS YOU COULD SAY I WAS DEFINITELY WAS LOOKING FOR AN ALTERNATIVE. I was burned out on trading hours for dollars.

It was at that time on this job, and quite by accident, that I was FIRST introduced to the WORLD of NETWORK MARKETING.

Wait…..take that back, years earlier when my children were very small, I had HEARD of the big A company, and had been invited to several dinners where they don’t tell you why you came, so the folks could draw the circles on the board and show you how you would get rich.

We even got involved with friends for a short short time but found it more of a social club to us that a real business. Anyone remember those days??? They would invite you to weekly meetings, where you would pay to go, and afterwards the whole gang would go out to eat or something. They told you the products were cheaper because they were concentrated, yet it always ended up costing a lot more. They also charged fees to people to join and renew. I guess they were the FIRST to launch the field of networking, yet to me they were the hardest. I never understood why they would not tell you their name OR why they had to hide the fact they wanted you to join a business.

My impression was not good because I felt it dishonest to invite people to your home on false pretenses so needless to say, that was NOT for me.

To me that didn’t count and was YEARS AND YEARS before and nothing I saw as serious answer.

While looking for a way out, I started to read about Network Marketing. I also was NOT on the INTERNET at home at the time. In fact, I still had an APPLE II E at home and that was just for minor games and things.

ENTER MY FIRST LOOK at REAL NETWORK MARKETING!

It came in the MAIL. Hmmmm DIRECT MAIL. It was actually a letter, on high grade light colored stationary and it talked about a couple where the man had gotten hurt on the job and was not able to work, was BROKE and at the end of his rope??..BUT THEN?? enter the SOLUTION.

The letter said he found a company and now was making mega bucks, with his family. I called a toll free number to ask more and was told ALL I had to do was to sign up with them, and them they would give me a copy of this letter, which had my id on it. I would copy them, and mail them out and THEY would take the calls for me.

At the time, I was DEFINITELY Not someone that would pick up the phone or take calls from strangers, so this sounded pretty incredible to me. They would take the calls, and all I had to do was MAIL.

Sounded like Heaven…..right?

I thought GEE… I can do that! I can build a 2nd income this way, so if and when my company crashes, I would have an INCOME I was EXCITED but I still had questions and LOTS of them.

I spent several evenings checking and talking to the folks. I wanted to know about the ID # on the letter and who it belonged to since they were doing the calls for people. I wanted the name, and to know more about them.

I guess I asked so many questions, that they must have been sick of me :)) They finally told me my letter was from a gal in North Dakota named Michelle. She later became a good friend and several years later, my hubby and I flew out to meet her, and we all had a whirlwind trip through North and South Dakota, which was ONLY my 2nd time EVER in a plane. (I’m getting ahead of myself)

Anwyay at the time when they asked if I wanted to talk to this gal, I almost passed out. After all this was a STRANGER! I was NOT about to call a stranger. I had called the 800 # to ask about an Advertisement but that was DIFFERENT. This was calling a LIVE stranger at her home. GASP!!!!! They told me to expect a call from her the next night.

I remember the evening she called as if it was yesteday. I was SO NERVOUS.

However, she really was a talker and she was so bubbly and incredible that we hit it right off. She was brand new too and I guess looking back, she was EXCITED because I think I must have been her first answer to the letters she was mailing. We hit it off and I decided to jump in and mail letters too with her.

So I became a person with a FULL TIME Day job, and an OFFLINE Network Marketer by night. Funny I didn?t even ask about products or company, NEVER thought of that at the time I was REALLY GREEN.

At first it was sort of like a HOBBY or a fun game. I was doing SOMETHING that I thought would give me security and it was FUN. THinking back, it was also kind of like the dark ages, with NO PC. GEEZ, what a bunch of nuts we were. Mailing letters to strangers all across the country, with no plan other than to TRUST these other strangers that were going to take our calls and build us a business too.

We were giving a master copy of the letter with these folks story. Thinking back now, it is a shame we did not have a crystal ball to see the ending. What we did then, NOW makes NO Sense to me, but we did what we were told by the UPLINE. We made copies and followed their directions to the T.

Anyway, neither of us had any experience, so it was the blind leading the blind. Our upline instructed us to mail out a few thousand canned letters, with our id# and their 800 number and we were told they would handle the calls for us. To me that was like heaven, because I was quite shy and so were thrilled that they had this great system. It seems too good to be true.

LESSON # 1 If it seems to good to be TRUE…. Is usually IS.

Do You Live Paycheck To Paycheck?

I was reading a book today. In it was a story about a salesman who used to sell a product for about $300. He would call on people at night because most of the time they were working daytime. Many people loved the product and wanted it but they had to finance the $300.

It brought back many memories to me of when I lived like that 20-30 years ago. I remember when we first got married, we had to buy a refrigerator and pay $17 per month for 3 years to get it. Fast forward till today. Last year I bought the top of the line refrigerator and paid $2500 for it and didn’t have to finance it. A few months ago, I purchased a stove I wanted that was close to $2,000, again in cash.

There is a big difference in my life today and my life back then. Back then I had a “JOB” and today I don’t. Today I work for myself. I no longer trade hours for dollars. I have learned to become independent and leverage my time.

Today I would not take a job if someone offered to pay me a thousand dollars a day. I learned a JOB means “just over broke”. When I had a job I lived paycheck to paycheck. I didn’t have enough money to pay for anything, so I charged it or financed it. That meant everything I bought cost additional money for finance charges.

Do you live paycheck to paycheck or have you learned the power in leverage and freedom? Today I’m blessed to use OPM (other people’s money). Anything I want, I go and purchase on my credit card. The credit card gives me reward points that I can redeem for neat things or flight and trips. I pay off the credit card in full so there is no interest.

I’ve learned the only way to become free it to become independent. Work for yourself, leverage your time. Find a great business, and go to work and build it. It’s no fun living life broke. Only you can decide to make a change. It starts and ends with you.

I broke out of the paycheck to paycheck lifestyle. If I could do that, I know you could too. Take action and make it happen.

Do You Ever Need To Get Addresses?

Do you ever need to get addresses from family and friends or business partners. Do you write them down and lose your list and just never get them added to your address book? I know I used to and it was quite a chore.

Some friends of mine came up with a brilliant solution. With this simple little tool, you can easily have those you know fill in their own information and then you can send them cards, gifts, invitations or thank you’s and have all your addresses in one place. You can even print out labels, and or envelopes right from the site.

Travis and Jackie made this website last year when they were trying to collect everyones addresses for their wedding and it was a nightmare. They were getting lists from Jackie’s mother, Travis’s mother, people on Facebook and it was a joke! They wanted one place to have everyones addresses that were organized and easy to use. They didn’t want to go around to every person and ask for their address, then try and remember it later. So we decided there needed to be a website that was a useful tool for everyone and solved a problem. Thus, ineedyouraddress.com was born!

Ineedyouraddress.com is a website for people to easily and securely collect all their family and friends addresses. It’s great to use for wedding invites, baby blessings, graduations or just a great way to have all your closest friends addresses. It’s easy to use and saves tons of time! All you do is sign up, and in a few simple steps, you have your own personalized website. You get a unique URL that you can share with friends and family so they can go on and fill out their information. The entries you get are organized for you, and you can sort them how you want. You want to be able to keep family and coworkers separate? No Problemo! Tags make it easy to organize different addresses so you can easily find all your different groups (Friends, family, coworkers, etc.)! You can then easily print on envelopes or print labels and send invitations, birthday cards or just to say hello! It’s a great tool whether you use it one time for your wedding, or just a way to keep all your friends and families addresses.

The best part is they are sharing this with anyone that has a need to collect addresses. I set up my own account for anyone that wants to send me their address. So if you would like to hear from me, fill out this form. It will put your contact information into my personal address book and I can stay in touch.

If you’d like to create your OWN address book, simply set it up here. ENJOY!

How to Build Your MLM Business with Greeting Cards

Let’s face it.  There is no overnight miracle to getting rich and wealthy in MLM or anything unless you just get lucky and win the lottery.  No matter how much hype someone tells you about their MLM and how much money you can make, the fact is that it takes dedication, time, and investment to grow your business.  Each person has to determine how much of each thatGreeting Card Business they can dedicate to becoming successful, and then be consistent with it. If you can only dedicate one hour a week, then that is what you need to do and you need to maximize that one hour.  If you can dedicate an hour a day, great, but be consistent and maximize that time.

It does not matter what network marketing opportunity you have decided to pursue, you will still need to find leads and prospects for both your business opportunity and your products, and then follow up with those leads.  In most cases, you are not going to get a new lead, no matter how qualified, to sign up with you on first contact.  It is going to take some time to build relationships.  In fact sometimes it can take a month, months, or year to get someone to come on board.  That’s ok.  Why?  Because when they come on board you want them ready to work and build the business, right?

This is why it is important to build your relationship with prospects the right way, and the right way consists of being interested in them and finding out about them, and then using those facts and information to keep in touch over a period of time so that once they are ready, you are there.

One of the best ways to keep in touch is through physical greeting cards and Greeting Card Businesssmall token gifts.  Yes, an email or an autoresponder is helpful and great for handing masses of unqualified prospects.  But, once you have personally spoken to a prospect, it is then time to move them into a different category and treat them with a personal touch.

To do this, it is simple.  Send them an old fashion greeting card!  You can go to the store and pick them out, or you can do it a super easy, and easy to mange way, and end the cards online.  Yes, you can choose, customize, and mail your card online.  Not an eCard, a good old fashion card that your prospect will have to go to their mailbox to get!n When your prospect sees that you took the time to send them a physical greeting card through the mail, their will think of you differently and not as someone just trying to push them into a business or take their money.

One of the easiest ways to send greeting cards, and even set up campaigns so that your prospect gets one on their birthday, holidays, etc is to use CardsMadeSimple.com. Go try this out and you can see how easy it is to send greeting cards to engage your prospects.
