As anything there are pros and cons but I truly believe MLM is a great industry. There is money in MLM for those willing to work for it. The sad part is most people quit before they start, or start and never finish.

MLM is an industry where you get paid for what you start. In the beginning what you start sometimes seems so small people think it’s not worth it. That is where they are wrong. If they just stuck with it, and gave it time to blossom they would learn that really truly is money in MLM.

Let’s do a What if comparison. Suppose you started an MLM and worked very hard for about 5-6 months. After getting your business started, you look at your checks and find you only earned $200 after expenses. You begin to think about how hard you worked and how little that seems.

On the other hand how much money would you need in savings these days, to produce a return of $200. Most banks, pay in tiers today. I know one of my banks only pays .5 % and that is if you have OVER $50,000 in the account. If you’re lucky you could find a bank paying .6% but again mostly likely you’d need ever more money to get that rate.

Let’s do an conservative average. If I had $200,000 and I was lucky enough to find a bank paying the .6%, I would make a whopping $120 on that money. If I had to settle for .5% its would be only $100. Now if put in $340,000 I would earn $204.

If you went and invested my money in the stock market instead, unless you’ve had better luck than me over the years you may be fortunate to get 5% return. These days that is a good number, but risky at best. Years ago I put $150K into mutual funds in the stock market, and unfortunately, ended up with $60K before I pulled my money out and put into an annuity paying a whopping 4% compounded. That was about 8 or 9 years ago and today it’s worth about $80K or about half what I had before I messed with the stock market. You can see why I don’t like investments.

Think about that $200 you earned, and keep on moving forward as what you built to get to that $200, will continue growing and compound as well. NEVER quit. Keep moving forward and give yourself time. There is really money in MLM over time, if you don’t give up.

I know if I can do this anyone can. I hope to see you at the top one day and celebrate your successes with you.

Why is it that some people that choose to build an MLM business, seem to run out and sell everyone on being a distributor? It baffles me. Not everyone will want to be a distributor of any product or service, but many would become your customer if they liked your product. Don’t run off customers by trying to make them sell your product. All businesses need customers.

When you go to shop at any store, do they service you as a customer or do they try to sell you the store and have you open one?

Think about this. What If I wanted to open a retail store? What if I was the first Walmart EVER? I work and build and stock up the store. I open the doores but begin to think how much better it would be if I had a 2nd store accrosse town. So I go off and build store number 2. I get that one stocked and opened and then I start on a 3rd in another city.

I now have 3 stores. Sounds gooe, however, I have NEVER tried to attract any custoemrs. If I never had one customer in any of them, how much money would I make?

A Network Marketing business built right works the same way. It’s about everyone getting a handful of customers that use the products or services. When you’re talking to people, as them what THEY want. If they want to be a customer only, don’t rund them off by twisting their arms to get the to be a distributor.

Look for people that want to make extra income for distributors. Let customers be customers and don’t confuse the two.

Customers are your foundation, so teach everyone to start with customers and you will buld a healthy thriving business over the years. Happy customers are the lifeblood of any business. Give good customer service and they will be a source of many future referrals.

Never ever forget, all businesses need customers to be stable. MLM is no different.

Have you ever put off something and said you will do it “tomorrow”? One thing I’ve noticed is that tomorrow never seems to come.

A better idea is to get things done when they come to mind. Take action and get busy. Things you put off, you will end up putting them off again and again.

Sometimes it’s something easy to do, yet something easy to do is just as easy NOT to do. Don’t put things off. Just take action and get them done. If you do things NOW, you’ll feel so much better.

I was looking for a car with lots of room, and someone suggested I look at a Cheverolet Traverse. The first dealership we visited, we looked a the car, but we couldn’t get anyone to give us any sort of pricing so we left.

A month or so later I was going on a trip, so I rented a Traverse. Unfortuntely, the one they gave me didn’t have very many features. I think the car rental place must have had the bottom of the line.

I found after driving it for a few days, I was not sure I’d like to own one. The gas mileage did not come close to the advertised mileage. Also since it was a low end car, it had cloth seats and they were not too comfortable.

This particular car had very few features. We stopped overnight at a hotel. In the morning, we came out and found we were parked next to a new Oddessy. The people getting in the Oddessy, had a baby with lots of equipment, and tons of luggage. The car really had some great room when they opened the trunk and had a deep wheel well. The Traverse didn’t hold near as much as their car.

Therefore this was a vehicle I ruled out.

If you’re looking for a home business, you have to find one that fits you.  I’ve been in the Network Marketing  or MLM Industry for over 15 years now. MLM is truly a great opportunity.

In this industry, just like any other, it takes time to learn and grow.  You have to develop skills and stick around long enough to grow your business.   MLM is something that people can start as a home business, for very little up front costs.  They can develop the needed skills and build a side income or even replace their full time income.

Over the years I’ve tried many different type products, from telecommuncations to health and nutrition.   While I enjoyed them and I totally believe in health and nutrition,  I fell in love with a greeting card company.

What I found in my early days of building a business,  is you had to stay in touch with your customers.  If you stay in touch with them, you’ll get referrals and also build a good business.

Over the years, one thing I did to keep my customers was send out cards.   I sent thank you cards, birthday cards, and holiday cards.  I even sent them thinking of you cards.  So when I found  a card company that was an mlm too, it was a great fit for me to add on.

I found that no matter what a person was building, from as storefront to an MLM company, sending cards would improve their business.  I was very excited and joined the card industry, 7 year ago.   It’s been a true blessing.

Find the business right for you.  MLM is a golden opportunity in todays market.  Find a company right for you and get started.

I know some people seem to be wild about vidoe chats and web cams.    I don’t happen to be on  of them.

I’ve worked online from home for years.  I love the ability to hope across the hall to my office, jump online and chat with my team, or prospects.  I do not want to feel like I have to get dressed up and put on make up to be online.   I choose to work in comfort, that’s why I love my home based business.

Occasionally I will flip on my web cam when someone calls, but only if I’ve done my makeup and hair to go out or just come home.    A lot of times I’m online in my casual clothes or even PJ’s.  That is the beauty of a home business.

I guess web cam’s are good occasaionally but certainly not all the time.   What do you think of Web Cams?  Do you use them all the time, Occasionally or never?

What do you think of the word change?    Whether you love or hate change, it’s enivitable.   Life changes, people change and the world changes.

If you want to succeed in anything, you have to be able to adapt to change.  You may work for a company that changes the way they do business.  You may end up laid off and have to adjust to looking for a job, only to find your job market dried up.   You may have to change and learn a new skill.

You may be in business for yourself.  The world may change and you either learn to change with it our you could be out of business fast.   Markets change all the time.

Think back a bit.  It wasn’t that long ago that we all had 33 and 45 records.  They progressed to albums, and then to tapes. Today they are CD’s,  but even CD’s are changing into dowloadable albums for your IPADs.

Car’s used to be simple. Today they have changed to where your cell phone comes in on your radio.  My new car has even an IPAD plug in it.    Times are changing and revolving.

If you learn to accept and embrace change, you will be happier and healthier.   Step out in front of the changes and think of new ideas, better thean the last and leade the way into the future.    If you don’t someone else will.
